As Director of this program, I'm joined by a circle of three distinguished yoga leaders: to guide every practitioner toward healing and resilience through a thoughtful, evidence-informed 200-hour Unified Therapeutic Yoga journey. We honor diverse body stories by weaving together multiple Hatha-inspired pathways with compassionate alignment, mindfulness, and breath-led sequencing, inviting teachers to hold space for safe, transformative practice across all levels. Through inclusive education, trauma-informed awareness, and ongoing growth, we cultivate confident instructors who nurture well-being and foster a warm, luminous yoga community.

At UTY, We teach asanas through a therapeutic lens, prioritizing pain-informed movement, safety, and accessibility. Our trauma-informed, supportive learning environment empowers every teacher to guide compassionate, effective practice for diverse bodies.

Elevate your teaching with asanas grounded in Restorative, Yin,Meditation, IPATH, with trauma-informed care, and a nurturing, inclusive community.

Develop skills to center yourself and your students. Establish a safe environment that encourages inward focus, facilitates meditation, and promotes deep relaxation (Savasana).

Anatomy
&
Physiology

Prioritize safety, joint mobility, range of motion, and a practical understanding of skeletomuscular systems and structures. Integral Postural Alignment for pain management and comfort all bodies. Gain a deeper personal relationship to yoga philosophy, with an emphasis on integrating Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and The Eight Limbs of Yoga.

Interactive Experience

Pilates Exercise

Yin

Embrace stillness, with postures, typically held for two to five minutes,so that your practice allows time to draw your awareness inward. Witness your students surrender. 

Restorative

Enhancing kosha energy and promoting healing in areas of stress through the use of bolsters, props, and the ground, while fostering whole-body mindfulness in purposeful supine positions.

IPATH

Integral Postural Alignment Therapeutics focuses on balancing the nervous system to promote overall body healing, starting with myofascial release and culminating in musculoskeletal balance.

Yoga Stretch with Block

Pranayama

Learn the five core pranayama (yogic-breathing) techniques and enable students to experience body-mind integration and purification through yogic breathing and Vagus nerve stimulation.

Meditative posture focus

Unlock the healing potential of embodied yoga. Our 200-hour Unified Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training blends diverse Hatha-inspired styles into a single cohesive program, opening doors to a compassionate, evidence-informed practice suitable for every body. This first-of-its-kind curriculum (2025–2026) centers alignment, breath, and therapeutic application, empowering you to teach with clarity, confidence, and heart.
