Denese Cavanaugh ERYT500 has studied with master teachers since 1995 and has been teaching yoga since 1997. Denese teaches yoga classes, workshops, is a presenter and teacher trainer in Washington, DC., domestically and directs the 200 & 300-hour curriculum at Deva Yogamynd yoga school in Milan, Italy. Her many teaching styles include Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series, Iyengar Alignment inspired, Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga, Restorative, Prenatal, and Kids Yoga. Yoga has helped Denese uncover her most joyful, and authentic version of herself; her non-dogmatic approach inspires others to consciously reveal a newfound balance while having a blast on the mat. Large venues from 500 to 3000 participants come easy for Denese because she loves sharing with her community. She is humble and grateful to her yoga teachers for sharing their unbounded insight and generosity and is honored to also share that generous evolution with others.
Denese Cavanaugh is not only an ERYT500 certified Yoga Teacher and Certified Personal Trainer but is also the founder of IPATH yoga. Every one of her yoga classes integrates a purposeful, meditative quality, which allows an experience of connection and mental reflection – all while the body explores expansion and renewal. She feels privileged to be able to empower her students with practices that are educational and engaging, all while being accessible. She has even given numerous private and event yoga sessions with First Lady Michelle Obama. It was her passion for mentoring yoga teachers and alignment yoga that led her to create IPATH yoga, (Integral Postural Alignment Techniques), allowing her to share her love of yoga with people with failing posture and back pain. Currently, she has expanded her teaching and holds a YACEP® designation (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider), offering her 200 & 300hr Yoga Teacher Training curriculum, at her school in Italy. Through integrity-driven classes, Cavanaugh aims to provide students, her community and teachers with the tools they need to rejuvenate and body with the mind. She is currently enrolled at Kripalu to complete her studies as a Yoga Therapist.
